My Blogging Award!!

So my sweet friend Misty gave me a blogging award, and then the poor girl had to explain to me how to get it on to my blog! I know it is pathetic, but what can I say I am technologically challenged! Anyway, I thought this was really cool and now I get to list 6 things that make me happy and then tag 3 other people to do it. Here we go!

Number 1: My Hubby

Oh the things he puts up with! Let's just say that he has a lot of patients for things!

This kid can always put a smile on my face and reminds me what life is all about!

Even though he is only 2 lbs., he is my constant companion thru the day and night!

Number 4: Sundays

Ok so no cool picture but I love lazy Sundays around our house cause we just get to hang out, eat and watch Nascar or Foot ball and just be together!

I know it is kind of materialistic, but I have so much fun driving this thing!

Everyday around noon it calls for me, and I don't object!

Labor Day Weekend

We had a fun Labor Day weekend, despite the nasty cold weather! It all started on Friday with us NOT winning in the Baby Contest. I know right, like who wouldn't vote for Jaxon? Oh well, he is still a winner in our eyes and will always be the cutest baby EVER! (All parents say that though right?!) Then we went and did a little tail gate party with my parents and watched the fireworks, which Jaxon LOVED! Then on Saturday we met up with some friends and played at the park, and was really lazy the rest of the day including Sunday. However on cold nasty Monday we went to the parade, and got rained out! We are parade die hards, what can I say! The poor queens in their formal wear, the cute kids in their ball uniforms, the marching bands, everyone was SOAKED and cold! So we dogged out early on that and came back to our place and ate some yummy KFC for lunch. Then we went back down to the park, while the sun was out, and walked around the booths, and let Jaxon ride the Merry Go Round. All in all, even though the weather was crap, we had a fun weekend!

A Fun Summer!

We had such a fun summer! From laying around on the couch watching cartoons, to going to the Fiesta Day's Rodeo and playing on the big tractors there, going to the Fiesta Day's parade, playing in the pool, eating lots of popsicles, and playing t-ball in the backyard! Labor Day weekend is this weekend and that can only mean one thing, Onion Days! Yep, Payson's town celebration! We look forward to this every year. The parade, fireworks, the carnival all that fun stuff! More pics to follow. Hope everyone else had a fun summer too!

What Happens When Mom Gets Bored?

This is what happens when mom gets bored on a Sunday afternoon! Jaxon and I were sitting outside yesterday afternoon eating a popsicle. I reached over to touch his head, and it was as hot as can be. So I told Justin to go get me his clippers, and that I was going to to buzz Jaxon's hair. I don't think he believed me, but I really did. Jaxon was about due for a hair cut anyway, and with the hot weather still around, I thought "why not?" Now Justin calls him our little bald baby. (We have never seen Jaxon with this little of hair cause when he was born he had a full head, and always has.) The funny thing now is that Jaxon keeps rubbing his head with this weird look on his face like he doesn't know where it went.

What Do I Do With Him?

Okay, so I am really confused at some of Jaxon's behaviors lately. He doesn't want to eat much, and he has decided that afternoon naps are for the birds! I think he is not eating much because maybe it is too hot outside. I don't know?! He used to be such a good little eater, and would eat so much at one sitting, and now he just grazes most of the day. I know he is not going to let himself go hungry, but it makes a mom wonder. The deal with the naps is beyond me. He has never been a great napper, but still I think that every almost 2 year old needs some type of a nap or quiet time during the day. What he doesn't understand is that mom needs quiet time during the day too. I don't want to sound mean, but that is when I watch my shows on tv or mess around on the computer and just kind of check out for a while. So, I don't know what to do with him. I think I might need to change his schedule around a little and maybe find some new foods that he has never had before to change up his mealtimes. If anyone who reads this has any other ideas on what to do, I would really appreciate them! Thanks for reading my post while I vent my frustrations!
