I could KILL them!!

This is the phrase that Justin and I have uttered more than once since we have lived out here in West Mountain. You see there is a big open field next door to us and the people that own it let their teenage boys ride their 4 wheelers in it. They have built jumps and they have all sorts of fun. So it sounds harmless right? WRONG!! It never fails that they don't ride until Jaxon is either asleep for his nap in the afternoon or down for bed at night. Now I know that they are just being kids and having fun during their summer, but it sucks for us cause Jaxon is such a light sleeper that it almost always wakes him up. Just like this afternoon. I put Jaxon down for a nap and what happened about 30 minutes in to naptime? That's right those d@!# kids on their 4 wheelers! So needless to say, Jaxon is wide awake and will not go back to sleep. Wish me luck on what is going to be a long and possibly chaotic night!!

Happy 24th of July!!

We had such a fun weekend! On Thursday we went to the Spanish Fork parade. Jaxon loved it and waved to all the queens and horses. He wasn't so sure about the fire trucks and ambulances with their loud sirens, but the rest of it he loved. Then later that night we went to the rodeo in Spanish Fork. Again Jaxon loved it. He thought the skydivers with the American flag were so cool, and he loved all the animals. It was so funny to watch him wave at the horses as they would come by with their banners. Justin and I were talking on the way home how when you see the American flag carried in on horseback, you can't help but get a lump in your throat. It is so amazing to see! Then on Friday, Justin had to work so Jaxon and I went to the new pool that opened here in Payson. It was a lot of fun and Jaxon really liked playing in the water and sliding down the slides. In fact it was so much fun that we went again on Saturday and Justin went with us. We all three had so much fun, and I think Justin and I felt like kids again! Sunday we loafed around and went to visit Grandma and Grandpa. All in all it was a fun weekend!

EEEEEEEWWW!!! YUCKY BUGS!!!

So Jaxon has discovered the world of bugs lately. He loves potato bugs and all things that crawl. We live in between two wide open fields so needless to say we have lots of creepy crawly things that sometimes even make Dad a little nervous! Yesterday though, I was gone and Justin was watching Jaxon. He said that he was in his playroom playing when all of a sudden Justin heard Jaxon yelling "eeww, eeww, eeww"! Justin went in to see what the fuss was about and found Jaxon hunched over a small beetle looking thing laying on its back, kicking its legs! YUCK!! Justin saved the day by picking it up and flushing it down the toilet. Thank goodness for Dad's! Justin called to tell me about it and I just laughed, I can definitely see my Jaxon hunched over yelling EEWW, EEWW!!

My Ruined Anniversary Date!

So what we thought was going to be a great night all to ourselves, didn't quite turn out that way. Just our luck! As I said in the previous post, my mom was going to take Jaxon for the night. Well we took him out there, and we went to the Olive Garden for dinner. It was so yummy and they even gave us free dessert since we were celebrating our anniversary. So we were headed back home and we get a phone call from my mom saying that she can't get Jaxon to stay in the play pen that he is supposed to be sleeping in. He keeps climbing out and climbing up the stairs to come find her and my dad. So after various failing attempts to get him to stay in his bed, we ended up having to go get him! We get him all loaded in the car, and naturally on the way home he falls asleep. The little stink! It is such a Jaxon thing for him to do! Oh well, I guess that is part of parenthood, and at least we got to have dinner.

3 Happy Years!

So this is a little late, but on Tuesday July 8th was our 3rd wedding anniversary. We didn't do much to celebrate since it was on a Tuesday, but my mom is taking Jaxon this Saturday night so we can go out and have a night to ourselves. (Like we will know what to do with ourselves?! ha ha ha) I know 3 years doesn't seem like much for some, but for us it feels like a milestone, and like it should be longer than that. Sometimes we feel like we have been together for 100 years. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Justin is a great guy and I definitely couldn't have asked for a better husband. He definitely puts up with his fair share of crap, but keeps trudging along with me. We are the best of friends and I know it will always be that way. Thanks for 3 wonderful years Justin, I can't wait to see what the future holds for us! I LOVE YOU!!

When we got back to Seminole from Daytona, Jaxon started getting sick. He was throwing up like every 20 minutes and then started having 'the runs' too. We couldn't keep anything in him and I knew he was running a fever. So at about 11:30 p.m. we took him to the emergency room. He was a very dehydrated and sick little boy. He had a fever of 102 degrees and they couldn't get an IV started for anything. They finally got him to drink some anti nausea medicine and that helped his belly calm down and he finally went to sleep. We ended up taking him home at about 3:30 a.m. that morning. All 3 of us were so tired, plus his grandma and grandpa who camped out in the eaiting room, such troopers. Needless to say we spent the next 4 days sitting at Nana's house nursing him back to health. He finally started feeling 100% better on the Monday after we got home. Naturally! A shot of the track from the tour bus we took. It was AMAZING to see in person.

While we were in Florida we decided to take a day and drive up to Daytona which is about a 3 hour drive. Justin wasn't taking no for an answer though, see we were headed to the Daytona Raceway where they hold the Daytona 500 Nascar race. This is a little piece of paradise for Justin, who just happens to be Nascar's biggest fan!!

After our day at the beach! Sooooo tired!

Digging for sand crabs!

Jaxon wasn't too sure about it first!

Florida Fun!!

We just recently got back from visiting Justin's grandma in Seminole, Florida. We had such a fun time and they are seriously the sweetest people I have ever met. Our trip started out great. Jaxon did sooo good on the plane, thanks to the DVD player and The Wiggle's movies we took. We spent a day at the beach which was so much fun. Justin and I both love the water and were so excited for Jaxon to experience it too. His grandparents live about 3 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, so we were right there and you could actually smell the salt from the water.
