Goodnight Moon

Jaxon loves to read and be read to, especially at night before bed. We go to the library every Wednesday and he checks out books from the Childrens Library. We read everything from Curious George, Little Critter and everything in between. He is a lot like his mom in the fact that we are both book worms and will read anything we can get our hands on. Lately though, this book above, Goodnight Moon, is one of our favorites. We checked it out from the library a couple weeks ago and he loved it. Then we were shopping for his cousins birthday and I held up two books, so Jaxon could pick one. Goodnight Moon was one of them...and needless to say we came home with both books, one for Jaxon and one for his cousin. We read this book at least 2-3 times per day and he has it almost memorized. After I read a page, he repeats it and waves to the pages in the book, telling them goodnight. It seriously is the cutest thing ever and always puts a smile on my face. The crazy part to me is that this book was originally wrote in like 1946, and is still a favorite today. I guess it is true what they say..."a classic never dies!"

We read "Goodnight Moon" every single night before bed. The boys love it. I agree - it's crazy that it was written so long ago and is still such a hit with the kiddos!

I'll have to look for this book next time i'm out. We've been liking "Twinkle Twinkle little star" lately and not just the rhyme. I think it's cute he's trying to read as well, they are so sweet right now!

Good night moon is also one of Hunter's favorite books. Even with that creepy old lady who wispers hush! Hunter likes the mouse the best. Such a cute book.
